Wig Making Master Class
3-Day Intensive • New York City
Group: $2900
Private: $3150
This master class teaches you how to build a traditional hand-tied luxury wig from scratch. Over three days, you’ll learn the full process from start to finish—skills you can later adapt for film and television, everyday wear, medical wigs, sheitels, and men’s systems.
The process is very hands-on, with everything broken down step by step. Each technique is taught in isolation first, then later it’s all woven together so you’ll walk away with a full understanding of how to build a professional foundation and ventilate it from scratch.
What You’ll Learn
This class starts with ventilating techniques and knotting fundamentals before moving into detailed foundation building.
Each part of the process is taught in isolation so that by the end of the workshop, you understand how every element fits together to create a professional, hand-tied wig from scratch.
Ventilation & Hairline Work
• Traditional Wig Knotting / Hair Ventilation (including Western-style ergonomic technique)
• Knotting Patterns: single direction, brick layer, cross knotting, whorls, cowlicks, hairlines
• Strand Control (how to manage strand count per knot)
• Knotting with Mohair (for undetectable film hairlines)
• Ventilating on Delicate Film Lace
Foundation Building
• Darts, Draping, Seams & Hemlines (taught in isolation)
• Head Mold Creation + Blocking/Padding
• Foundation Construction (panel by panel)
• Resizing & Altering Premade Foundations

• …and more
Each step is demonstrated in real time, with pre-recorded footage available after class to help you review.
What Makes This Class Different
I’ve worked in every corner of the wig industry—film, fashion, medical, religious observance, and everyday wear. That range lets me tailor this class to your goals, whether you’re building wigs for high-profile clients or making something for personal use.
I don’t teach shortcuts. I teach how to build a professional-quality wig from the ground up, using the same techniques I use in studio.
You’ll leave with:
• The ability to build a film-quality hand-tied wig from scratch
• Muscle memory for efficient, ergonomic knotting
• A clear understanding of why traditionally made wigs cost what they do
Whether you’re a seasoned stylist or someone who’s never worked with hair before, this class is designed to meet you where you are and give you the tools to go further.
